This one-day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is an entry-level program designed to train individuals to act as emergency first aiders in the workplace. Similar to the full FAW course, it is approved by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) and conducted in line with the latest Resuscitation Council (UK) 2010 guidelines.

As a result, it provides learners with a recognized qualification that aligns with industry standards.

This is a 1-day (6-hour) course designed to equip individuals with the skills needed to take on the role of an emergency workplace first aider and effectively manage first aid incidents. It also adheres to the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) recommended guidelines.

As a result, it provides peace of mind, knowing that your workplace has trained individuals ready to respond when necessary.

Upon successful completion of ongoing practical assessments, this qualification certifies the first aider for a three-year period from the date of certification.

However, HSE guidelines recommend that each qualified first aider undergo an annual skills update to refresh their practical knowledge.

The course is both informative and enjoyable. Additionally, delegates are encouraged to actively participate (we don’t like death by PowerPoint any more than you). Student feedback indicates that we provide engaging and effective training.

In short, it’s a brief yet enjoyable introduction to first aid for non-first aiders, with no prior knowledge required to start the training.

Delegates sent for training by their employer or course booker should be in a suitable physical, mental, and emotional state to fully perform the role of emergency first aider. They should also possess strong communication skills and the ability to manage stressful and physically demanding emergency situations.

This course is especially suitable for low-risk environments, such as offices and retail settings.
